Berlbies are flying creatures who's diets consist of meat, insects, and berries. They may look like a bird or reptile, but they are actually egg laying mammals that are related to a dolphin descendant from their original planet.
Berlbies all come in different colors, from orange to blues grays and even pink.
They all have a large navy blue feather in front of their breathing apparatus, a.k.a their blowhole. The feather seems to be there to protect their blowhole from debris while in flight.
To hunt they fly with their headwings and use their arms to grab their prey and crush them between their beak and molars.
The one thing that is really strange about them is that their mammary gland is inside a sack in their throat, which when their young hatch starts filling up said sack. They then feed their young hatchlings with the milk build up.
The berlby were found on a planet that seemed to have been inhabited by two different civilizations, one natural and one artificial. The artificial civilization was the one we've observed to still exist, sadly we couldn't come into contact with them as they fought us off with magic and weapons.
