Sarah Catterall is completing her MA in Public History at Carleton University. Her research centers around questions of commemoration and memory of Canada’s mission in Afghanistan. She is examining the Kandahar Cenotaph as a case study and is focusing on the influence of its many different locations and the spaces it has inhabited as a primary influence on its interpretations.
