Jaime Simons is completing their MA at Carleton University in Public History with a specialization in Digital Humanities. Their research focuses on using sound and site-specific performance to engage with history, focusing on the history of steamboats on the Ottawa River in the nineteenth and early twentieth century. They aim to produce various pieces of sound art as a means to engage with that history and its colonial connections.
