On the left are an 8 screw bell chuck, a drill chuck and a superbly made tailstock die holder, the internal part of which slides like a piston and still a perfect sliding fit. These items are listed in the catalogues as supplied as extras for the B2 lathe.
These items have the threads for 8mm drawbars, Von Pittler originally based the lathe on the Wolf-Jahn system, this means that numerous items for 8mm watchmakers lathes such as Boley will fit this machines head & tailstock and also the milling head. See the sub page for BTM watchmakers lathe
Original Cushman chuck as supplied with Pittler lathes
The Cushman 3 jaw self centering chuck is described in the catalogues as supplied as standard with every B2. This early type has exterior lugs and required a clock type key to close the jaws. I scoured the internet but could not find another of this type with external lugs.
Several other3 & 4 jaw chucks that came with my lathes are probably not original supplied equipment so not shown here
A stepped chuck, specifically designed to hold circular work of various sizes, may or may not be original equipment.
