About Us
Pinewood lies approximately 200 miles northwest of the Twin Cities where it is situated in a beautifully wooded area on the south shore of Ten Mile Lake. It is two miles north of Hackensack, MN on Highway 371 and 5 miles west on Cass County #6 (Lower Ten Mile Road.) It is 14 miles south of Walker, and the immediate area includes numerous unique shops, many restaurants with a variety of menu offerings, and additional attractions.
Ten Mile Lake covers approximately 5,000 acres and reaches over 200 feet in depth. This spring-fed lake's clarity (exceeding 20 feet in visibility) makes it ideal for swimming, sailing, tubing, and waterskiing. Its clear waters yield a healthy assortment of northerns, large and small mouth bass, pan fish, and record-sized walleyes. Pinewood occupies about 550 feet of natural sandy beach that slopes gently into Ten Mile Lake. Between the cabins and beach is a well kept lawn and play area.
The resort includes ten cabins, all of which face the lakeshore, and a lodge where the manager resides. There is also a swimming area designated with protective buoys, including a swim raft and a relaxing dock area. Seven of the ten cabins are available for rent when the owners are not there.
The rental season is from May through September. Prime season begins the first Saturday on or after June 15th through the second to the last full week in August.Â
