Utilizing a carefully rear-mounted  Lii Song Silver 8 loudspeaker, the Pine 8 has a very natural tonal character with an open stereo image and very immediate dynamic resolution. The wide frequency response (down to 38.7 Hz) and the extremely high sensitivity (97.2dB 1W @ 1m) make the Pine 8 speaker system an excellent choice for single-ended triode amplifiers (SET) which have output power in the under 10W range, as well as higher powered push-pull tube amplifiers and solid state amplifiers as well.

Sonically, the Pine 8 speakers have a very detailed and round low frequency response with a low mid range that is incredibly revealing of acoustic instruments and voices. The high frequencies are natural and airy with an accurate yet not over-emphasized presence. These speakers are simple to achieve the imaging sweet spot by simply setting the listening position equidistant between the speakers. The custom designed tilt-back angle allows the center of the speaker to be in the ideal location for critical listening. 

The Pine 8 speakers are hand made in Massachusetts by Pine Tree Audio and a master woodworker. All cutting, sanding and finishing was directional with the wood grain and the sanding and finishing is done by hand.
