Most home audio systems are comprised of single-ended components which are interconnected with their respective single-ended cables, also known as "RCA", "Phono" or "unbalanced" cables.
At Pine Tree Audio we understand the inherent limitations of the connector and the circuits associated with these types of cables. The major issues that a single-ended cable designer faces are the inability to reject noise due to:
Differences in ground voltage between send/receive circuits.
Noise acquired by the signal wire due to induction.
With our signature Iso-Twist design, we are able to provide 3 layers of isolation between the shield conductor and the signal conductor. The three layers are: the polymer jacket around the copper wire; the nylon sheathing around the polymer jacket; and the air around the nylon sheathing (this is a freebie of the design).
In our Iso-Twist design we are able to eliminate noise by evenly distributing the shield over the signal conductor with a very high level of electrical insulation between the two. This is an issue that nearly all commercially produced cables do not address.
