Film BAD RIVER, narrated by Quannah Chasing Horse and Academy-Award nominee, Edward Norton, is a new documentary film which chronicles the Wisconsin-based Bad River Band and its ongoing fight for sovereignty, a story which unfolds in a groundbreaking way through a series of shocking revelations, devastating losses, and a powerful legacy of defiance and resilience, which includes a David vs. Goliath battle to save Lake Superior, the largest freshwater resource in America. May 23rd, at Brabecks-team photo, meeting and movie (Sugarcane or Lakota Nation vs. United States) watch/discussion .
June 21st annual St. Kateri Center Pow Wow in St. Ben Gym on Saturday June 21st. This begins with CAICC - Chicago American Indian Community Collaborative's Community Graduation in partnership with CPS at 11:30am.
