The recommended reference manager for learners at PIHMS is Zotero. Zotero is a free and open source reference manager with wide compatibility with operating systems (windows, macos, linux) and integration with word processors (Microsoft Word, LibreOffice Writer, and Google Docs).
If you are experiencing technical difficulties with Zotero, please contact IT Support (itsupport@pihms.ac.nz).
Open web browser (eg. Chrome or Firefox).
Go to the following link:
Click on Download button under Zotero 5.0 for Windows / Mac.
Download the setup file.
Once downloaded, open it up.
Follow the prompts in the Zotero setup wizard.
Zotero Plugin should already be installed in word processor (Miccrosoft Word or Libre Office).
Zotero Connector is an extension for web browsers which helps you to add references to your library with full text PDFs and available for Chrome.
Open Chrome and go to the following link:
Click on Install Chrome Connector button under Zotero Connector.
And it should proceed to install.
