The PIHMS Learning Centre provides a convenient and shared resource of 3 common workstation PCs for both students and staff members. These workstations are available on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring fair access to all. These commonly workstations operate on the Microsoft Windows platform, ensuring familiarity and ease of use. To maintain the integrity and security of these systems, we kindly request users not to install additional software or plug-ins.
These workstations offer web browsing capabilities. We encourage all users to practice safe internet surfing by adhering to cybersecurity best practices. Avoid visiting potentially harmful websites, refrain from downloading unknown files, and always log out of your accounts after use. By following these guidelines, your cooperation ensures the optimal functionality and accessibility of these resources for everyone in our learning community.
Utilise the FollowMe-Common print queue for efficient printing at our common workstations. Printing to the FollowMe-Common queue prompts for your PIHMS email and password. Accepted credentials queue your print job; otherwise, it is declined. Once queued, access any campus printers to release the job, following the standard process as with personal laptop printing. Remember to logout of your PaperCut account so that others cannot use your print credit. At the printer, authenticate and select the print job you would like to release. For those seeking guidance on its utilization, we recommend consulting the print guide for assistance.
Print jobs can be released on any campus printer. It is important to note that the printer in the PIHMS Learning Centre exclusively prints in black and white. For colour printing, please utilise the printers at the Administration Office and Front Desk Reception Area. All campus printers accepts A4 and A3 size print jobs. In case of paper or toner shortages, Mrs. Aldridge at the Administration Office can assist with replenishing supplies.
