You decided to try to create 2 more prototypes (to REALLY impress your boss) with cylinders instead of prisms. You will need 2 more pieces of white copy paper.
- Cylinder #1-Create a cylinder wrapping the paper the long way and tape it WITHOUT OVERLAPPING!
- Cylinder #2-Create a cylinder wrapping the paper the wide way and tape it WITHOUT OVERLAPPING!
- Which cylinder do you think has the largest volume?
- Predict how the cylinder volume(s) will compare with those with rectangle and triangle bases.
- Using the same formula for volume, determine the volume for the cylinders.
Volume of Cylinder = area of the base x height
