Most students find it challenging to handle Physical Science topics, particularly in the laboratory activities. The interactive e-learning materials in Physical Science will help the learners to better understand and easily catch up with the lesson and topics in Physical Science. The word "interaction" is frequently used for the idea of active learning in the field of education. It is believed that active participation in the learning process, as opposed to passively reading or watching a video, helps students learn more effectively. In other words, it's always preferable for students to participate rather than observe.
One of the useful interactive learning media in today’s generation is the Google Site. This ICT integration can be implemented in website-based learning media through the Google Sites feature. The existence of simple Google sites without using a programming language is an advantage that educators and students can use in the learning process. In addition, the Google Sites feature provides easy-to-use design templates, layouts, and navigation menus for free, with a capacity of up to 100 Mb. The fulfillment of these advantages directly makes learning centered on students and directs students to learn independently. (Mardin & Nane, 2020).
The researcher is conducting a study entitled, “Interactive e-Learning Materials in Physical Science for SHS Students” as part of the requirements for completing the course subject in Master of Arts in Teaching Major in Science at the Marikina Polytechnic College. The purpose of this study is to develop and evaluate interactive e-learning materials in Physical Science among the SHS students. The information that will be derived from this study will enhance the relevance and usability of interactive e-learning materials that will be developed by the researcher.
