Phuong V. Pham is a Professor at Department of Physics, National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU), Taiwan. He earned his Ph.D. from SKKU Advanced Institute of Nanotechnology (SAINT), Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU), South Korea. Currently, he leads Materials Physics and Electronic Surfaces Group at Physics-NSYSU. Professor Pham has collaborated on industrial projects with major organizations, including SAMSUNG, POSCO, and government agencies such as Korean Government, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Science and Technology of China, and NSTC Grant Program of Taiwan. He has held various research positions, including Postdoctoral Researcher, Research Fellow, and Distinguished Research Fellow, at prestigious institutions like School of Advanced Material Science and Engineering, SKKU, Center for Multidimensional Carbon Materials (Director: Prof. Rodney Ruoff) at Institute for Basic Science, South Korea, and Hangzhou Global Scientific and Technological Innovation Center, Zhejiang University, China. Professor Pham is recipient of several prestigious awards, including NSF Career Award, National Postdoctoral Award for Outstanding Young Scientists, China (2019), and NSTC Grant Awards, Taiwan (2023, 2025). Additionally, he serves as Academic Editor for IntechOpen, and Reviewer for over 70 Journals. He has authored approximately 100 peer-reviewed articles/books/chapters such as Chemical Reviews, Chemical Society Reviews, Advanced Materials, Materials Today, ACS Nano, Nano Energy, Small, ACS Materials Letters, Coordination Chemistry Reviews, Chemical Engineering Journal, 2D Materials, Carbon, Nanoscale Horizons, Nanoscale, Journal of Materials Chemistry C, Chinese Journal of Physics, Journal of Catalysis, Scientific Reports, Advanced Materials Interfaces, Sensors & Actuators A: Physical, Materials Chemistry & Physics, Optical Materials, and Optics Communications, among others. His research interests span a wide range of fields, including nanotechnology, materials physics, surface physics, chemical engineering, atomic film synthesis, 2D heterostructures, nanofilm transfer, donor/acceptor systems, nanocomposites, plasma engineering for advanced electronics/optoelectronics, energy storage, environment as well as parallelly with the extending to predictive simulations associated with next-generation nanomaterials processes (kinetics, growths).
