1. What is Calculator Vault?

Calculator Vault is a private photo & video vault disguised as a calculator app.

Your photos and videos are protected offline using encryption and stored locally on your device only. The calculator works like a normal calculator, but entering your secret PIN unlocks your hidden vault.

You can also swipe up on the calculator screen to quickly unlock using Face ID or Touch ID.

2. Where are my photos and videos stored?

All photos and videos are stored locally on your device only.

Calculator Vault does not use iCloud or any external servers to save your files.

3. How secure is Calculator Vault?

Your content is protected using AES-256 encryption, one of the most secure encryption standards available.

You can lock access to your vault using:

• Secret PIN

• Face ID

• Touch ID

The app also supports Decoy PIN for additional privacy protection.

4. What is Decoy PIN?

Decoy PIN is a secondary PIN that opens a separate vault instead of your real vault.

This feature helps provide extra privacy protection in situations where you may need to unlock the app in front of someone else.

Example:

• Main PIN → opens your real vault

• Decoy PIN → opens a separate vault

5. Can I hide individual photos or entire albums?

Yes! You can hide:

• Specific photos/videos

• Entire albums

Hidden items can only be accessed from Settings > Hidden after successful authentication.

6. What happens when I delete a photo or video?

Deleted items are moved to the Trash, where they are kept for 30 days.

During this time, you can restore them anytime.

After 30 days, items in Trash will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

7. What happens if I forget my PIN?

If Face ID / Touch ID is enabled, you may still be able to access your vault by swiping up on the calculator screen.

Otherwise, for security reasons, we cannot recover your PIN, and your encrypted content may become inaccessible.

Please remember your PIN carefully.

8. Does the app back up to iCloud or share my data?

No.

Calculator Vault does not use iCloud, cloud backup, or external servers.

Your files are never uploaded or shared. Everything stays only on your device, under your control.

9. Will my data be deleted if I delete the app?

Yes.

Since your data is saved only on your device, uninstalling the app will permanently delete all stored photos, videos, albums, and Trash.

Please export your content before deleting the app.

10. Why does the app ask for access to Camera, Photos, and Face ID?

• Camera: To take photos/videos directly into your vault

• Photos: To import photos/videos from your photo library

• Face ID / Touch ID: To unlock your vault quickly and securely

You can also swipe up on the calculator screen to activate Face ID or Touch ID authentication.

We only request permissions that are strictly necessary to protect your privacy and improve usability.
