The Photo Crew is a diverse team of local, national and international photographers who come together each year to document the SXSW experience. We cover conference keynotes, sessions, film premieres, music showcases, brand activations and exhibitions, all with an emphasis on capturing the unique vibe of the event.

In addition to exciting and diverse assignments, Photo Crew members have access to training in event-specific photography, photo editing, organization workflows, and access to mentoring before, during and after SXSW. The Crew is a smart, supportive community, quick to share their knowledge and help their fellow Crew members. 

Veteran Crew members return year after year. Advancement to leadership positions on the Crew and promotion to smaller, niche photographer teams is possible based on interest, skills and Crew tenure. Applications for new members open in December and spots are very limited.

The Photo Crew is an opportunity like no other. As far as we know, this is the only team of its kind in the world.
