Phoenix RV Copilot Privacy Policy

Phoenix RV Copilot ("the app") helps you keep track of your RV, tow vehicles, checklists, trips, campgrounds and logs. This policy explains what happens to your information. In short: we don't collect, see or sell your data. There are no accounts, ads or tracking.

What the app stores, and where

What you enter is stored in the app's private storage on your iPhone (and Apple Watch, for the current checklist):

• Your rigs and tow vehicles: names, type, size, weight, towing capacity, tire pressures, tire DOT dates and tread readings, batteries, VIN, plate, notes

• Checklists and check-offs, trips, campgrounds and stays, tank, propane, tire, weight and fuel logs, spare parts, shopping list, components

• Photos you add (photo proof, campground maps, log photos)

• Your settings

We have no servers. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it, unless it's in your iCloud (see below).

iCloud sync and sharing (optional, Pro)

If you turn on iCloud sync or share a rig with a travel partner, your rig data is stored in your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. Shared rigs are visible only to the people you invite. We can't see your iCloud data. Photos stay on your iPhone and aren't synced. Campground gate codes and WiFi stay on your iPhone unless you turn on sharing for that campground.

Location and weather

If you turn on wind and freeze alerts, the app asks to use your location while in use, at about 1 km accuracy, to get the forecast where your RV is. The location is sent to Apple Weather (WeatherKit) to get the forecast. It isn't sent to us, and only the last location is kept on your iPhone.

Camera, photos, microphone and speech

• The camera is used only when you take photo proof, a campground map photo, or scan a part's model label. Label scanning is done on your iPhone.

• Picking a photo uses Apple's photo picker, which gives the app only the photos you choose.

• In hands-free mode, the microphone and speech recognition listen for words like "next" and "repeat". Recognition runs on your iPhone when your iPhone supports it; otherwise Apple's speech service may process the audio. The app doesn't record or keep audio.

Notifications

Reminders (checkout times, maintenance, weather alerts) are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone.

Online lookups and links

• VIN lookup (optional) sends the VIN you type to the U.S. NHTSA vPIC service to fill in make, year and model.

• "Buy it" buttons and manual links open store or maker websites in your browser. Once you leave the app, that site's privacy policy applies. Some store links may include an affiliate tag; this doesn't change your price, and we don't receive any personal information.

Purchases

Pro (monthly, yearly or lifetime) is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details, name or Apple Account.

No tracking, analytics or ads

The app contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs, and it doesn't use the advertising identifier. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may give us anonymous crash reports.

Children

The app doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the effective date.
