Robert Krueger is the Director of Bands at Port Huron Northern High School where he leads the Cadet Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Marching Band, Jazz Band, and Pep Band.
A proud alumnus of Eastern Michigan University, Mr. Krueger earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education in 2018. During his time at EMU, he studied Saxophone under Dr. Woody Chenoweth, Percussion with Jason Ihnat and Professor John Dorsey, and Conducting with Dr. Mary Schneider. He served as Principal Saxophonist of the EMU Wind Symphony and was the Center Tenor Drummer in the EMU Marching Band Drumline. In his senior year, Mr. Krueger won first place in the William Stewart Concerto Competition and was invited to perform John Mackey's Concerto for Soprano Saxophone and Wind Ensemble with the EMU Wind Symphony.
Mr. Krueger later earned a Master’s Degree in Conducting from Oakland University in 2024, studying Saxophone with Dr. Jeff Heisler and Conducting with Dr. Pam Klena and Dr. Gregory Cunningham.
His teaching career began in Port Huron Area Schools, where he previously served as Director of Bands at both Holland Woods (2019-2020) and Fort Gratiot Middle Schools (2020-2025). He is an active member of the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association (MSBOA), currently serving as District III Vice President of Honors Band.
Mr. Krueger resides in Fort Gratiot with his wife, Marissa, and their dogs, Bart and Leo.

Cameron J. Lee serves as the Director of Bands at Holland Woods Middle School and the Assistant Director of Marching Band at Port Huron Northern High School. In these roles, he is dedicated to fostering strong, inclusive, and high-achieving music programs that empower all students.
He earned his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Siena Heights University in May 2020, studying saxophone under Dr. Jim Rice and Dr. Matthew Koester. In December of 2024, he earned his Master of Education degree from Grand Valley State University, specializing in curriculum and instruction under the guidance of Dr. Janelle Grant-Ashbaugh.
Mr. Lee began his teaching career in Detroit Public Schools, serving as the Director of Bands at Western International High School and Assistant Director for the Detroit All City High School Marching Band (2021–2022). Upon returning to his hometown, he spent three years teaching elementary music at Crull, Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, and Garfield Elementary Schools within the Port Huron Area School District (2022–2025).
Outside of Band, Mr. Lee loves to go fishing and hang out with his cat, Mozart!

David Baird serves as the Percussion Caption Head at Port Huron Northern High School, where he leads and oversees all elements of the marching percussion program.
A proud PHN alumnus, David was a member of the drumline from 2016 to 2019 and served as section leader his senior year. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education (PreK–3) at Michigan State University, with an expected graduation in 2026.
David brings a wealth of performance experience, having played with ensembles such as Lake Effect Percussion, the Michigan State Drumline, the Detroit Pistons Drumline, and Drum Kingz. His teaching career spans several Michigan high schools, independent groups, and a growing roster of private students.

Ainsley Kinney serves as the Front Ensemble Coordinator for the Port Huron Northern Marching Band. A proud PHN alum, Ainsley was a standout member of both the PHN Marching Band and the Port Huron Northern Thunder, leading the Front Ensemble as Section Leader during their junior and senior years. After graduating in 2021, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Music at Alma College, studying percussion performance with Mr. David Zerbe and composition with Dr. Justin Rito.
During their time at Alma, Ainsley performed nationally and internationally with the Alma College Percussion Studio, appearing at high-profile events such as the Notre Dame Collegiate Jazz Festival and the British Pipe Band Championships in Scotland. Among their most distinguished accomplishments is co-founding the Alma College Composition Studio and presenting the college’s first-ever senior composition recital, Coloring Outside the Lines, which earned them Honors in Music.
Beyond their work at PHN, Ainsley brings their expertise to Oxford High School as a percussion instructor, helps fit elementary students for instruments at the Port Huron Music Center, and serves as a substitute teacher in the Port Huron Area School District. They are also an active composer and arranger, accepting private commissions for original works. Deeply committed to their community, Ainsley volunteers with the Blue Water Ally Center and the Blue Water Humane Society. This August, they will take the field with the Northern Lights Drum and Bugle Corps at the Drum Corps International (DCI) All-Age Finals.
