The Planetary Health in Medicine Research Training Fellowship (PHMF) is a free, six-week youth summer program in San Diego, California focused on planetary health, environmental justice, and careers in medicine and public health.


Over the course of the program, fellows will:


This is an opportunity for local youth (ages 16-25) to see themselves as researchers and changemakers and to develop skills and connections that will serve them well beyond the summer.


This fellowship is part of a University of California San Diego research study assessing how group-based learning influences mental well-being and environmental self-efficacy among youth.
