Say you found a ring, while digging in the sand.

If you had this ring, do you know what you would do?

Would you trip friends on the playground

and paint your puppy blue?

What would you do in secret if no one knew that it was you?

Would you eat all Brother’s ice cream?

And Sister’s candy too?

Or do you know that even with a ring these things are bad?

That the reason not to trip or steal

is that it makes people sad.

You love your friends and puppy, your Sister and Brother.

And that’s why you should try your best

To be good to one another.

You also will feel proud and happy when you do the right thing

Even when no one’s looking.

So even when you can do wrong and you know you won’t get caught.

When you ask if you should lie or hit,

You’ll answer, “I should not!”

If you know you should be kind and true, then you know that it’s a fact
