Cristina Marras is Director of research at the Institute for European Intellectual Lexicon and History of Ideas (ILIESI) of the Italian National Research Council (CNR), she is a G. Wilhelm Leibniz’s specialist, she couples her research in philosophy, philosophy of language and in particular in digital humanities with activities to enhance the interdisciplinary dialogue (Humanities and STEM) through the exploration of different languages and technologies that favor the sharing of research methods, practices and results. She lectured and published on philosophy and humanities computing and promotes and organizes public engagement and citizen science activities with interdisciplinary approaches in the field of digital philosophy and multimedia.

Pier Luigi Gentili is a Professor of Physical Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry, Biology, and Biotechnology at the University of Perugia. He has held research and teaching positions at several Italian and international universities. In his teaching, he offers interdisciplinary courses on Complex Systems to prepare the next generation for the global challenges of this century. He is the author of more than one hundred scientific publications in Physical Chemistry and on the interdisciplinary topic of Complex Systems. He is also the author of three monographs on Complexity. Since 2021, Gentili has been included in the top 2% of scientists worldwide, according to Stanford University, based on data from Scopus.
Pierandrea Lo Nostro is Associate Professor of Physical Chemistry at the University of Florence, and his research is focused on the experimental study of structure and dynamics of complex systems and on the prediction of their behaviour. In particular, he investigates complex biological, biomimetic, and biocompatible systems, as well as nanostructured and macromolecular self-assembly systems. A special attention is paid to the study of the intermolecular interactions involved in the molecular-scale interpretation of the specific ion effect.
Pierandrea Lo Nostro has more than 130 publications in scientific journals to his credit. Moreover, he is Editor in Chief of Substantia, an International Journal of the History of Chemistry, which aims to explore the themes of Chemical Sciences and their connections with both other experimental sciences and the Human and Social Sciences.
Giovanni Villani was a researcher at the National Research Council (CNR) from 1988 to 2025. His research focused primarily on theoretical chemistry and the general/cultural aspects of chemistry.
He was President of the “Divisione Didattica della Chimica” of the Società Chimica Italiana (SCI) and is currently Coordinator of “Gruppo Tematico Epistemologia e Storia della Chimica” of SCI and Deputy Editor of the journal "La Chimica nella Scuola". He has published approximately 150 papers in international journals and six books. He has edited numerous books and organized numerous conferences and schools in collaboration with important national and international institutions. He has participated in numerous scientific dissemination activities and activities of scientific museums.
