Philosophy and Chemistry in Dialogue

Chemistry cannot be fully reduced to a single theoretical framework or methodological paradigm. Its wealth of knowledge indeed develops at the intersection of experiments, modelling and classification practices, and is deeply shaped by material constraints, historical contingencies and context-dependent forms of reasoning. In this perspective, the event aims to reinforce the dialogue between chemistry and epistemological studies, encouraging the integration of conceptual analysis with experimental practice, as well as the development of shared conceptual and methodological frameworks.
