Day 10 - Rajgir

Fri 11-Jan-2019: From Bodh Gaya, we took a 3 hours bus journey to Rajgir. We visited Nalanda University where the famous Chinese Buddhist monk Xuanzang who travelled, by foot, from China to study. He brought back Buddhist Sutras to translate to Chinese and therefore helped to propagate Buddhism in China. Finally, we visited the Veluvana Bamboo Grove, first monastery given to the Buddha by King Bimbisāra.
