How to get the retrofit

The process for getting the Retrofit Driving Mode is straightforward and must be performed by an authorized dealership. 

1. Visit a dealer: Your BMW dealer can confirm if your motorcycle model is compatible with the software upgrade.

2. Purchase enabling codes: The dealer will purchase the correct "enabling codes" from BMW Motorrad.

3. Program the bike: The dealer will connect the motorcycle to their diagnostic system to upload and activate the new riding modes.

4. No new hardware: For many newer models, no new physical hardware is needed, as the bike is already built with the necessary electronics.
