BMW's Secure Coding NCD 2.0 is a security system introduced in late 2019 to protect BMW vehicle control modules from unauthorized modifications. It requires all NCD (Netto Codier Daten) files, which contain coding data for the modules, to be signed by BMW's backend servers. This system, rolled out on G Series models after 2021, aims to prevent third-party coding of ECUs without online access to BMW's network.
Online Signing:
Unlike previous methods, NCD files are now signed online through BMW's network, preventing offline modifications.
Today! Phad Motorrad is providing NCD 2.0 solution for the Optional Retrofit and Coding on new the BMW vehicle as BMW, Mini & Motorrad.
