As we all know, this pandemic is out of control again! Delta variant is causing some rethinking. Based on NAGVA's Return To Play Guidelines and our facility we are going to require everyone to have proof of vaccination against COVID19 or a negative test 72 hours prior to play.. There was also a recent mask mandate for Multnomah county to wear masks indoors all the time EXCEPT when playing. Whilte visitors are permitted, all people inside the facility MUST wear be vaccinated or show proof of negative test within 72 hours, and MUST be masked when not actively playing on the court.

Captains will be responsible for making sure their teams are healthy prior to play - if there is ANY risk whatsoever, a player should not show up to play. We need to manage the health of our entire community at this point, which is more important than winning matches. I feel terrible saying that because Volleyball is the center of life for many of us, but in reality, the family, the Ohana that we have built supersedes any individual need to play.

Make sure your entire team is vaccinated and can bring proof as well! Wearing masks in Portland will probably also be a requirement for some retail or other businesses in Portland.

And this just in: Marriott Courtyard downtown (Convention Center) has an excellent rate for our group of $129 - an excellent rate for downtown Portland!

Below are hotel discounts in the Beaverton area (near the facility) although many people said that AirBnB was overall more cost effective for housing teams. These hotels are in the Beaverton area, but I do have a lead on possibly the downtown Marriott as well which might be an option for people who are hoping to go bar hopping in Portland. No details on that as yet, though.
