Will the abatement work be off an IH Survey (has one been conducted) or off the Red Books document?

The abatement work will be based off of an industrial hygienist survey that will be conducted on the site.

Would the construction interfere with the kids walking to and from the old school?

Accommodations will be made to ensure very little disturbance to the current operations of the school and movements of the students and staff on the school site.

Accessibility

Where would the handicap parking be located?

Accessible parking will be positioned closest to the building to ensure ease of access and will comply with all required local, state, and federal regulations.

Parking/Transportation

The route to the North End entrance to the school, along with the lot in front of the school and around back are riddled with potholes and trash from heavy foot traffic in the community. Will all areas be paved to create a smoother and safer drive for buses and cars?

We are undergoing third-party review traffic studies to determine the appropriate traffic pattern, and based upon that result will work with the County to determine the appropriate adjustments, road improvements, and changes, if any, to the traffic flow.

Once the fence is erected so construction can begin, our vehicles will be relegated to the worst areas of the roads and lots around the school. Will the repairs be made before your project starts?

Paving updates and repairs are currently scheduled to be made after completion of construction activities.

Safety/Security

What security measures will be built into the new school structure to keep our children safe during the day?

The school is designed in wings to allow for the school to secure specific areas or the entire building. Visitors will enter the school only through a secured vestibule that is monitored by school staff.

Technology

Any lighting in the rear of the building?

There will be lighting around the school to ensure safety of students, staff, and the building.

Would the new school be bigger than the old school?

The school will be approximately 160,000 sq. ft.

Will the multipurpose field be turf?

The multipurpose field will be natural grass.

Will there be any lights for our fields?

There will not be lights on the fields.

The school will be approximately 160,000 sq. ft.

For students that typically walk to school, many do come from the area that will be where the new bus drop off location. Will the fencing prevent access from that direction/area?

There will be appropriate pedestrian-friendly fencing installed to allow for pedestrian movement onto and off of the campus.

Where would the carpool drop off be?

The carpool lane will be located in front of the main entrance of the school.
