Particulate gravity currents are complex natural and industrial phenomena encompassing a wide spectrum of flows, from subaqueous turbidity currents to pyroclastic density currents and snow avalanches. PGC2026 aims to bring together scientists from sedimentology, volcanology, geomorphology, environmental fluid dynamics, and related disciplines to foster dialogue across experimental, observational, and theoretical approaches. The conference will feature keynote lectures, oral and poster sessions, and thematic discussions, with a particular emphasis on the following areas:
- Turbidity currents, hyperpycnal flows, and flood or tsunami-related gravity currents
- High-concentration particulate flows and debris flows
- Granular flows and avalanche dynamics
- Pyroclastic density currents and related multiphase phenomena
- Theoretical and numerical modeling of particulate gravity flows
