Visiting Programs

LDS increases the data science expertise on Purdue University Fort Wayne campus by attracting regional, national, and international researchers and talented students.

Excellence Visiting Scholars Program

LDS supports the visit to the Purdue University Fort Wayne campus of top researchers in data science. Under the Excellence Visiting Scholar Program, renowned researchers in data science, statistics, computer science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and applied mathematics can apply for a visiting scholar stay at Purdue University Fort Wayne and participate in the intellectual activities on campus, including co-teaching and attending courses and scientific events, mentoring students, and collaborating with on-campus faculty and local researchers.

Local Visiting Scholars Program

LDS supports the visit to the Purdue University Fort Wayne campus of Midwest researchers in data science. This program is similar to Excellence Visiting Scholar Program, but eligibility is restricted to Midwest scholars.

Graduate Visiting Program

LDS supports visiting students primarily from Indiana and Midwest colleges. Their duties can range from GTA and GRA positions (in the case of long term visits) to seminars and visiting research weeks (for shorter visits). This program supports also student visits dedicated to working on Purdue University Fort Wayne data science activities, such as conferences, and also visits dedicated to the production of scholarly material (e.g. lecture notes, ads) of interest to Purdue University Fort Wayne data science programs.
