Community Programs

LDS is dedicated to data science activities at Purdue University Fort Wayne and the support of internal, local, and global communities. LDS will serve Northeastern Indiana and it will bring awareness of data science to regional stakeholders through data science projects for regional organizations (public, private, educational, non-profit) through programs such as consulting, internships for Purdue University Fort Wayne students, community engagement, and research.

Data Science for Library Program

Under this program, LDS collaborates with Helmke Library at Purdue University Fort Wayne and the data science activities of other libraries in the metropolitan area of Fort Wayne.

Data Science for Local Administration

This program supports Purdue University Fort Wayne students working on a data science project with a local administration.

Data Science for Global Communities

LDS works with diverse Purdue University Fort Wayne Centers of Excellence to develop digital multilingual educational resources for global consumption.

Data Science for Local Communities

LDS supports non university/non post-secondary investors, including high schools and local companies. Activities of interest for this program include those from high schools that want to implement computational activities or a new data science curriculum, but also local companies in need of basic infrastructure.
