As the sole technical writer on a team of developers at Genentech, I manage the wiki for an internal CLI-based software called Converge. Users are able to access some of the files in their Converge workspaces through GitLab. This documentation walks users through the process of connecting one kind of file - a Snake file - to their GitLab accounts.
Going out of town can be a hard when you have two dogs at home who need so much love and attention. I created this guide for whenever my partner and I hire a petsitter. This way, anyone staying at our house does not feel burdened with having to remember so many details. It's all readily available for them here! (Links to instructional videos included!)
The Chronologue is a fictional product used by The Good Docs project to showcase example use cases of the documentation templates we create. For this example, I used our new template for a how-to guide to walk users through the form they would fill out to request use of our imaginary tool. Even though the product is not real, the documentation still undergoes an arduous editing phase with many cross-functional collaborators.
Several departments in the RI&SE division have created their own disparate email templates for outage reports. When the director of my division asked my team to officially standardize those outage reports, this is what we came up with. I mostly acted as an editor for this assignment.
Similarly to the how-to guide above, I used The Good Docs Project's new release notes template to write up an example set of release notes.
