There are many different ways to deliver enrichment for all students and to serve advanced learners and thinkers. In Penfield elementary and middle schools, the framework used is the Schoolwide Enrichment Model. If you are not familiar with the SEM, throw out everything you think you know about gifted education!

The Schoolwide Enrichment Model is designed to serve ALL students - a continuum that includes finding and developing talent in all students as well as responding to the cognitive and social/emotional needs of advanced learners.
Penfield High School offers opportunities for advanced learning, including AP (Advanced Placement) courses, and dual credit courses to earn college credit while in high school.
