PACE Support for Professional Learning
Penfield is fortunate to staff K-8 Enrichment Specialists, who have undergone extensive training as part of their Gifted Education extension certificate. Other educators dedicate their personal time, energy and, often, money to learn more about current best practice and equity in enrichment, gifted education, talent development, and responding to the needs of twice exceptional and advanced learners. PACE is recognizing Penfield educators who do so by reimbursing certain out-of-pocket professional development costs not covered by the Penfield School District. The offer is extended to full-time student-facing educators in Penfield Schools (including counselors and psychologists) as well as administrators and members of the Board of Education. This offer is possible because of funding from Penfield's PTO/PTSA/PTAs.
