Video Preparation and Uploading Instructions

Deadline: November 26, 2020

As PEMWN 2020 will be held as a virtual conference, authors of accepted and registered papers are asked to submit a pre-recorded video of their presentation by November 26, 2020. This video will be used as backup, speakers will present live during the time slot allocated to their paper.

In all cases, at least one author needs to be available online to answer questions following the presentation. This is mandatory for the publication of the paper in IEEE Xplore, because otherwise this will be considered as a “no-show”.

* Guidelines for Preparing Your Video

**Recommendations for File Format and Size

- Duration: 20 minutes (followed by 5 minutes for live Q&A)

- Format: MP4

- File size: 200MB maximum

- Resolution : 720p HD should be fine

- The presentation should show slide contents in the main area with audio of the spoken presentation, and preferably with a shot of the speaker head in a smaller window.

- Please be sure the video (first page) includes the title of the paper, the authors, and a mention to PEMWN 2020.

- Please use the following naming convention for the video speakerName_PaperTitle.mp4 (the name of the author whose voice in on the recorded video followed by the paper title).

**Tips for Video Recording

The video is required to be of a good quality, please double check your files before submitting them to make sure the audio is clear and audible. Below some tips to have a good quality:

- Use as quiet an area as possible, avoid areas that have echo.

- Please ensure that the microphone volume in the computer and light level in the room are adjusted before starting the recording.

- Avoid using default built-in microphone on computer. Good headset with microphone close to mouth is preferable.

- Do a test recording of a couple of minutes and review the sound and picture quality before recording the entire presentation. Make adjustments if needed.

**Tools for Recording

The PEMWN 2020 conference does not request a specific tool for recording, only high quality videos matters. Authors can use any meeting software as long as it provides a good quality recording and the final file is in the MP4 format.

As a reminder, videos that are not received by the deadline will be considered no-shows in accordance with the IEEE ComSoc non-presented paper policy.

Please note that videos with unacceptable video and audio quality will not be accepted.
