Hi! I’m Pedro Capelli, a teacher passionate about integrating ICT into language learning. This PLE has been created for the subject ICT at UTN, where I explore digital tools, evaluate websites, and share ways to use technology meaningfully in education.

My Teaching & Tech Journey

I have experience teaching students of different ages and levels, primarily with adolescents in traditional, in-person settings. My professional focus on education technology began in 2020, when the pandemic forced the switch to online learning.

While tools like Google Classroom, Zoom, Padlet, and Kahoot came naturally due to my own background, I quickly learned that knowledge is never enough when the internet stops or a sudden power cut hits. That unpredictable reality is a huge part of the ed-tech experience!

What I Hope to Achieve

From this subject, I expect to:

• Gain more confidence using a wider range of ICT tools.

• Explore both the creative and practical aspects of technology integration.

• Design more engaging, student-centered lessons that utilize digital resources effectively.

My View on Technology in ELT

I’ve chosen this image because it perfectly reflects how much technology is part of our daily teaching life and how it can be both fun and frustrating. I believe, as the saying goes, that “Technology amplifies great teaching,” and I am keen to learn how to use it to its full potential this year!
