Remembrance Day – Monday, November 11
th, 2019
Friday, November 9th at 3pm Lester B. Pearson will be holding its Remembrance Day Assembly. If you are able, to come to this assembly, run by our student council. This assembly provides the students an opportunity to think about the freedoms they enjoy, and why they have these freedoms. Twelve, Pearson Singers and the Grade 8's all perform for this assembly.
Fanshawe Pioneer Village WWI Performance – Friday Evening, November 22nd, 2019
We are singing as a part of The Christmas Truce of 1914 Event being put on by Fanshawe Pioneer Village. Here is an excerpt from the Fanshawe website speaking about the event:
- Performances, put on by experienced reenactors, run every 30 minutes from 6:00 p.m. through 9:30 p.m. and the event ends at 10:00 p.m. each night (it is recommended that those coming for the 9:30 p.m. show explore the village prior to their Christmas Truce reenactment). Tickets are $10 in advance and can be purchased at fanshawpioneervillage.ca; tickets are $12 at the door.

- We are performing in the church for people exploring the village after they have seen the main presentation. (See pictures of the church at Fanshawe Pioneer Village below.)
- Twelve will be performing with the Jubilate Bells from Metropolitan United Church for this performance.
- Our program will be about a half hour long in total and will be repeated throughout the evening.
- We need to arrive at Fanshawe Village at 5:30pm on Friday, November 22nd and we will be finishing up between 9:30pm and 10pm.

Winter Cabaret – Wednesday Evening, December 4
th, 2019
The members of Twelve have the opportunity to perform duets and small group songs for this concert. The evening focuses mostly on their group performances, but also features the full Jubilate Bells playing and Pearson Singers performing as well.
- The concert begins at 7pm.
- Twelve members should arrive at 6pm. (If they are not doing a mic check before.)
- They may come earlier to practice in the church with their group if they would like to make arranges with their partners to do so.
- The concert will go until about 8:30pm.
- A good-will offering will be taken as admission.
Here is the rehearsal schedule for Wednesday:
- 4:30pm to 5:30pm - Pearson kids doing mic checks on their small group pieces. (First come, first serve!)
- 5:30pm - Bells arrive to check their bells and be ready for 5:45pm rehearsal.
- 5:45 - Rehearse "Now the Green Blade" & "Lo, How a Rose".
- 6pm - Rehease "Dona nobis pacem" with Pearson Singers & Twelve.
- 6:15pm - "Coventry Carol" quartet.
- 6:25pm - "Carol of the Bells" quartet.
- 6:35pm - "Jesu Joy" duet.
- 7:00pm - The Concert Begins
