Sometimes there is no better way to say something than to use the original words exactly as they are written. If you do this without saying where you got those words, then you are plagiarizing. If you say where you got those words then you are citing where you got the information, a citation!
You must include a minimum of 3 quotations. At least one short and one long quotation.
For your essay you are required to include at least 3 quotations. There are two types of quotation, short and long. For our essay we are considering 1 sentence or less a short quotation and more than one sentence a long quotation. Every quote has to have a citation.
The idea is you point to the book, website, newspaper story, etc. listed in your bibliography where the info is printed. We are keeping the format for this part fairly loose, but you do have to try to say which bibliography entry the quote is from.
