BAKERSFIELD, CA 1988-1992
Right out of college in 1988 Kim was hired to produce, edit and anchor the weekday morning news cut-ins at KERO. She went on to report, produce and anchor the weekend news - even produced and presented the weekend weather forecasts as well. (Ask her to tell you about her infamous "Eleven Seconds Over Alaska" blooper.) At the end of her four years in Bakersfield, she was an 11P.M. news co-anchor.

KNOXVILLE, TN 1992-2000
From 1992-2000 Kim was a TV news anchor and reporter in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was hired at WBIR to start a brand new show, Live at Five. Kim, her co-anchor Ted Hall, Producer Mike Mitchell and photographer/editor Scott Liston took the show on the road all over the southeast U.S. with satellite truck operator Gary Davis. After a few years, she was asked to join the powerhouse 6 P.M. newscast with Bill Williams when beloved anchor Edye Ellis retired. A few years later, she was asked to lead the team 'down the street' at WVLT and became news anchor and managing editor for the 6, 7 and 11 P.M. newscasts.

SAN JOSE, CA 2000-2003
In 2000, Kim accepted an offer to be part of a new technology team at the 'little' KNTV in the heart of Silicon Valley, CA. She jumped at the chance to be closer to family as she grew up in the Bay Area. While she reported on the tech boom, the station made national headlines as it became the NBC affiliate. There was a lot of change, as you can see from her many business cards between 2000 - 2003. Through those years Kim's duties ranged from reporting and anchoring for the WB 10 P.M. newscast to the weekend and weekday mornings news.

In 2003 Kim was hired to start a brand new news and entertainment show, Great Day, and The Midday News on KMPH FOX26. She and Kopi Sotiropulos - aka "Mr. Fresno" - are the longest running on-air team in the mornings - by far. While Kopi does the weather and his many community shoots, Kim concentrates on the news and interviews. You can see from the many team photos that Great Day has had some amazing talent on set and out in the community as the show grew from 4 to 5 hours. ( Eric Alvarez, Heidi Watney, Brandi Hitt, Kye Martin, Evy Ramos, Brian Loftus, Clayton Clark, Liz Gonzalez, Justin Willis, Jim De La Vega, Wendi Lane, Tayhana Garcia)
