Internship-based PDC guidelines:

• There is no course fee as such, individual teachers are covered by internship work exchange eg a normal work exchange may mean a host expects 5 to 6 hours work per day for accommodation and food (5-6 days per week), but for this PDC internship the exchange may mean longer work hours per day (6-9 hours per day) to account for the extra time spent in a “structured learning environment” - this may vary on a location by location basis. Please see the Scenarios page for possible examples.
• Time work exchange per module will be indicated with module descriptions.
• You are encouraged to complete the PDC at multiple locations.
• The conceptual design and its evaluation is done in exchange for 2-3 weeks work, which includes elapsed time to do the site analysis and concept design. (please see Course Structure for further information)
• The final design and its evaluation is done in exchange for 2-4 weeks work, which includes elapsed time to do the site analysis, concept, detail design, client report, etc.
• At least 1 week work exchange is necessary for a verification and cross check (checking each objective has been commented on as being completed) to take place in order to issue a certificate. This cross verification process preferably should be done at a different location to the Final Design evaluation.

3. Make contact once you have had a good look through their resources (and remember to only make contact once you have registered please). Bare in mind that permies are busy, so do your research carefully before asking unnecessary questions.
