The Royal Thai Government provides Peace Corps with Host Country Contribution (HCC) funds each fiscal year for direct support of Volunteer projects and activities. PCVs can submit requests for these funds in two areas: Mini Project Assistance (MPA) and Professional Development (PD). The following guidelines have been developed to assist you with your requests.
Use the receipt form below to track grant expenses and submit to close out your grant.
Mini Project Assistance (MPA)
Volunteers may request up to 3,000 baht for the purchase of small supplies and materials to support various project activities that you undertake with Thai partners. Examples include:
Professional Development (PD)
Volunteers may request funds for a professional development opportunity that is designed to help you gain or enhance technical skills and knowledge needed for your project assignment. The maximum amount that can be requested is 3,000 baht. Examples include:
The Host Country Contribution for Small Project Assistance Funds is sponsored by the Thai International Development Cooperation Agency (TICA), which is a branch of the Thai Ministry Foreign Affairs. These funds are made available to Peace Corps Volunteers through cooperation between TICA and Peace Corps Thailand.
Volunteers interested in HCC-SPA funding should submit proposals and budgets in Thai and English to the PRC. Once a proposal is reviewed and finalized through PRC, the proposal should be submitted to the PC Program Manager, Director of Programming and Training (DPT), and Country Director. Upon proposal approval of the PM, DPT, and CD, the proposal will then be sent to HCC-SPA liaison, who will process the proposal with TICA.
For further information, see HCC-SPA guidelines or talk to a PRC member or your Program Manager.
HCC MPA/PD grant proposals can be submitted directly to Khun Suthanya and your Program Manager. These grant proposals do not need to be reviewed by PRC, but PRC is always available.
