Up to 50,000 baht
Friends of Thailand (FoT) is an organization of Returned Peace Corps Volunteers from Thailand who help fund small projects. The FoT review committee considers proposals year-round.
Project proposals should be filled out according to FoT guidelines and sent to PRC for review. Once the proposal is approved by PRC, it will be sent to the Director of Programming and Training (DPT) and Country Director (CD) for further review. Once the proposal is approved by the DPT and CD, it will be sent to the FoT Liaison in the U.S. The proposal will then be reviewed by the FoT Board of Directors. Once the proposal is approved, the FoT liaison will contact the PCV. If the proposal is not approved, the volunteer will be contacted. In this case, the volunteer will have the opportunity to revise the proposal and add any detail required by the FoT Board of Directors.
Due to Peace Corps policy, PCVs may not receive funds directly from Friends of Thailand. FoT proposals must include the name and bank account information of a local community member responsible for the project.
Information, forms, and examples of previously funded projects can be found at FoT's website for volunteers.
For further information or questions, please contact PRC or J.M. Ascienzo, RPCV Thailand 124 and the Coordinator of FoT.
