Post's Corners Public School
SCHOOL COUNCIL
Welcome Back! The first school council meeting will be held Monday September 22 at 7pm!
Post's Corners Public School
SCHOOL COUNCIL
WHAT is the school council?
School council consists of parents/guardians and school staff, and provides an opportunity to learn about upcoming school activities and events, discuss concerns, ask questions and to volunteer for various programs (e.g., nutrition programs). If you would like more information about the role of school council please refer to the HDSB school council handbook.
WHO can be a part of the school council?
Any parent/guardian of a Post’s Corners student can volunteer! You can choose to be involved as a voting member (with a commitment to attend most meetings) or choose to be a non-voting member and join when you can! Check out the "Council Roles" section to learn more.
WHEN are council meetings held?
Council meetings are held virtually, on the first Monday of each month, from 7:00pm - 8:00pm. Click here to view the 2024-2025 council meeting dates.
WHY should I consider joining the school council?
By working together as partners, we can encourage greater academic achievement and prepare our students for success as responsible, participating citizens of the global community. We hope you consider joining!
HOW do I join and get more information?
No registration is required, simply show up to the meeting! You can find the link to the virtual school council meetings in the weekly school Panther's Post email or you can find it posted on school home page (scroll down towards bottom of the page).
