PCHP Learning Community
Progress in Community Health Partnerships (PCHP), a national peer reviewed journal founded in 2006, promotes the contribution of community health research partnerships “to improve public health, promote progress in the methods of research and education involving community health partnerships, and stimulate action that will improve the health of people and communities. The journal encourages community-patient partner authorship/co-authorship on collaborative research and community health partnerships in submitted manuscripts and has published guidance on scholarly collaborative writing (Tandon, et al., 2007, Bordeaux, et al., 2007; Grieb et al., 2015).
The PCHP Learning Community builds on an earlier Writing and Dissemination Learning Institute held in 2017 (adjacent to APHA) and led by:
Community Campus Partnerships for Health (CCPH)
Community Based Organization Partners (CBOP)
Morehouse School of Medicine (SOM) Prevention Research Center (PRC), in affiliation with American Public Health Association’s (APHA) Community Based Public Health Caucus.
A collaborative planning team including PCHP’s editorial team and the original Writing & Dissemination Institute leads are aggressively coordinating all planning and implementing the Writing, Dissemination and Reviewing Learning Community model, and presenting and facilitating at the workshop.
