Abide by the Rules of Conduct
A) Zero Tolerance Behavior: In Pickleball For All (PFA), we have absolutely no tolerance for the following behavior(s):
- Bad Sportsmanship
- Fighting or any sort of physical altercation
- Sexual harassment of any member
- Destruction of others' property
- Disrespecting any member and/or any Pickleball For All (PFA) Organizer
- Drunkenness
- Harassment in the form of continually trying to solicit or approach any person who has made it clear they are not interested in talking or interacting with you.
If any of these behaviors come to our attention, the event hosts/organizers reserve the right to ask the member to leave the event immediately and/or permanently ban the member from the group.
B) Self Moderation: Remember that you’re out in public and among a group of people who you want to make a positive lasting impression. While we can’t control or curtail your behavior, just ask yourself, do you really want to be known as the player with the bad sportsmanship.
C) Respecting gotRVA Organizers: Each PFA Event Organizer is a volunteer and has the desire to help PFA members with it's mission. With that being established, PFA organizers will occasionally make mistakes. No matter if a mistake is made or not, ALL PFA Organizers and Event Organizers shall be treated with respect at ALL times. Any disrespect, arguing, profanity towards, and/or violence (whether physical or not) WILL NOT be tolerated and is an automatic removal (and possible ban) from PFA without any written or verbal warning.
D) Drama: I am VERY happy to say that PFA has very little drama. I know that when any amount of people gather together, there will be some drama, but please help us keep the drama to a minimum. If a PFA Organizer feels that a person is causing too much drama, then it is reported to the main organizer (Morgan) and then discussed which action(s) to take. In most cases, an email is written asking the member to please help us keep it to a minimum.
E) Contacting Other Members: Please do not Meetup message, Facebook friend, email, or otherwise contact a member of the group unless you have met them at one of PFA's events and you have both agreed to contact one another. This is not match.com. Do not use our member listing as your own personal free dating site or business networking site. We take this kind of behavior very seriously and ask all members to report any unwelcome advance or unsolicited email they received.
F) While at Events: Please be respectful during events when you talk with others. We recognize that everyone’s personality is different, and sometimes they will clash. Most of the time that's alright, sometimes not. We are also aware that with a group of diverse people from different backgrounds, age ranges, and beliefs, disagreements and misunderstandings are bound to surface. However, we will not tolerate disrespectful behavior at events, on the PFA Meetup group, and in the comment sections. If disrespect is given in any way, the main PFA Organizer can remove a member, at his or her digression, without the approval of the other PFA Organizers.
G) Good Sportsmanship: In Pickleball For All, at almost all of our events we play pickleball games. Some games are played very low key and some games can be more competitive. No matter the level of the game, good sportsmanship and respect are to be exhibited at all times. If disrespect and/or bad sportsmanship is shown and/or reported, the PFA member will be written or verbally talked to and asked to please show good sportsmanship at future events. If a second (or more) bad sportsmanship is exhibited by the same member, then possible removal of that member may occur without future notice.
H) Discussion Boards and Comments: When commenting on events, please make sure your comments are regarding the event. We reserve the right to delete any comment that is not related to the event. Please be polite and courteous when posting comments or threads on the discussion boards. Argumentative threads in the discussion boards will be closed or deleted.
I) What Can and Can Not Be Posted: Pickleball For All's mission is to help you have fun and make friends while enjoying the great game of pickleball. So all PFA's events, discussions, pictures, and comments should be related to PFA's mission. Political events and/or discussions are not in line with PFA's mission and will not be allowed. If you would like a more political-based event/discussion, then please seek out a Meetup group that is geared toward that. Religious events and/or discussions are allowed, as long as it fits PFA's mission. Each event/discussion is at the main organizer's digression and could be deleted without any warning.
In addition, no promotion of any other Meetup group is allowed in Get Out Today RVA, unless it is preapproved by the Main Organizer, which at the time is Morgan Quinn.
J) General Meetup Guidelines: You are expected to follow all meetup guidelines. The Meetup terms of service (which you already agreed to when you joined Meetup) can be found here MEETUP.COM TERMS OF SERVICE
