Financial Part Of Pickleball For All

Believe it or not, it takes money to own/run/organize a Meetup group. Meetup.com charges an organizer $200 a year to run three groups. Then of course there are additional costs. I'm happy to say that Pickleball For All is TOTALLY FREE to join and TOTALLY FREE to participate in our pickleball events.

To help keep costs down, all of the PFA organizers are volunteers and they volunteer their time to help you "Get Up, Get Out, and Get Active" with our group. Nobody gets paid, including me (the owner).

Occasionally we have a few events where we have $1 or $2 posted to an event. (such as a picnic) This is just a donation suggestion to help with the event supplies. We have never turned away a member because of a lack of money for those events.

You may ask... If it cost so much to run a group, How can it be free? I'm glad you asked.

Each year, Get Out Today RVA (PFA's sister group) throws a REALLY SPECIAL New Year's Eve Party. We rent a clubhouse, decorate it, create a dance floor, have lots of food, and of course a champagne toast at midnight. There is a charge for this event. The money that is collected for the party goes towards paying for the party, the Meetup fees for both groups, and any other gotRVA and PFA costs for the rest of the year. When you pay AND attend gotRVA's New Year's Eve Party, you are helping keep our group FREE.

Our NYE Party is a win-win for everybody. You get to create memories with friends and/or family, You get to dress up all fancy for one night, You get to bring in the New Year in a fun and safe environment, AND you get to help out your two favorite Meetup groups, Get Out Today RVA and Pickleball For All.
