Paws and Tails receives no government funding — not a single dollar. Every life we save, every medical bill we pay, every frightened or forgotten cat we take in is made possible only through the kindness and generosity of people who believe these animals deserve a chance.
It is your support that keeps our doors open. It is your compassion that allows us to say “yes” when a desperate cat needs help. It is your generosity that turns suffering into safety, fear into trust, and abandonment into love.
Someone has to care — and thankfully, you do.
We know we can’t save the entire world for every cat in need. But together, we can change the world for one cat… and then another… and another. One life at a time, one rescue at a time, one act of kindness at a time — that is how hope grows.
Your support truly means everything to us and the little animals in our care!
WHY DONATIONS MATTER
Every single day at Paws and Tails, we open our doors to the cats no one else will take.
They come from heartbreaking surrenders, overwhelming hoarding situations, trap‑and‑neuter rescues, and from the streets where they’ve been left to survive alone. Some arrive trembling with fear. Some arrive carrying their babies. Some are pregnant and exhausted. Too many arrive sick, injured, starving, dehydrated, unvaccinated, infested with fleas or ticks, battling worms, dental disease, kidney issues, or viral infections. Some are so fragile that we’re not sure they’ll make it through the night.
And still — we do our best not to turn them away.
As a no‑kill rescue, every life matters. When someone leaves a sick or injured cat at our door without a note or explanation, we don’t hesitate. We act. We rush them to the vet. We begin diagnostics. We provide warmth, food, hydration, medication, and hope. Because if we don’t help them, who will?
But saving lives comes with a heavy cost.
Beyond food, litter, and safe shelter, every cat needs veterinary care — exams, spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, testing, dental procedures, medications, and sometimes emergency or intensive treatment. These expenses add up quickly, especially when we’re caring for neglected, abandoned, or critically ill animals. The financial strain is constant, and the need never stops.
We also extend our support beyond our walls — sharing medications with other shelters, and helping people experiencing homelessness or financial crisis feed and care for their beloved pets. When we have the resources, we give. Because compassion doesn’t have boundaries.
And despite the heartache, we continue — because we’ve witnessed the miracles.
We’ve seen the cat who arrived too weak to stand grow strong enough to chase toys. We’ve seen terrified mothers learn to trust again. We’ve watched broken spirits heal and blossom into cherished family members.
The worry is real. The long nights are real. The tears are real. But so is the joy when a once-forgotten life finds love.
Today, we are asking for your help.
If you cannot adopt, foster, or volunteer, you can still be a hero. Your donation — no matter the amount — directly funds medical care, food, shelter, and lifesaving treatment. Every dollar helps us say “yes” to the next desperate cat who needs us.
Please consider donating to Paws and Tails and becoming part of their rescue story.
Together, we can continue restoring health, dignity, and hope — one precious life at a time.
From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for believing in them, and in us.
