I saw a cat in store but no one is here to speak to. How can I adopt ?
Thank you for your interest in adopting!
The first step in our adoption process is to fill out the questionnaire here so we can get to know you better.
Once complete, one of our adoption coordinators will review your information and get back to you with an update within 2 - 3 business days.
I filled out the questionnare. Does that mean the cat is reserved for me?
We often receive multiple applications for the same cat.
Our adoption coordinators will review all adoption applications and will ultimately decide on the suitable adopter based on the cat's needs.
You will be contacted if your application is chosen and arrangements will be made for a meet and greet.
Do you have kittens available?
Kittens cannot be separated from their litter and their mother before 8 weeks old.
Once they are ready to be adopted, you will typically find them in one of our PetSmart locations.
I'm outside of Canada, how can I make a donation?
Thank you for your support! We also accept donations via GoFundMe.
I would like to donate some physical items. How can I give this to you?
Send us an email at pawsandtailsadoptions@gmail.com and provide us with more details regarding your donation.
I want to surrender a cat. Who can I speak to?
As a small-scale animal rescue, we have limited capacity to accept surrenders.
Contact us at (905) 450 - 9693 to inquire about availability.
We highly advise against rehoming animals through platforms such as Kijiji. Never, ever abandon your cat outdoors or leave animal in a domicile after you move out. You could be charged criminally with animal abandonment!
If we are unable to accept your request, we recommend contacting the following shelters or your local humane society:
