Paw Scan ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Paw Scan mobile application (the "App"), which helps pet owners scan and analyze pet food packaging labels.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide: Scanned pet food images, saved scan history, notes you add to products, and account information (if you create an account).
Automatically Collected Information: Device type, iOS version, usage data, IP address, and anonymized analytics.
Camera Access: We use your camera only to scan pet food labels when you choose to do so.
We do not collect:
Precise location data
Payment card details (handled by Apple)
Sensitive personal information
2. How We Use Your Information
Process and analyze scanned pet food labels
Save your scan history and personal notes
Improve our image recognition and grading accuracy
Provide better recommendations and reports
Send optional notifications (e.g., price alerts or new features) if you opt in
3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your data. We may share information with:
Apple (for In-App Purchases)
RevenueCat (subscription management)
Trusted AI/image recognition providers (data is minimized and anonymized)
Service providers under strict confidentiality agreements
4. Data Storage and Security
Your scans are stored securely. We use encryption for data in transit and at rest. You can delete individual scans or your entire account at any time.
5. Your Rights
You can access, correct, or delete your data from within the app settings or by emailing support@pawscan.app. California residents have additional rights under CCPA.
6. Children's Privacy
Paw Scan is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

We may update this policy and will notify you of material changes.
