November at Pauquette Paws!

Hey everyone!

I can’t believe we’re already heading into November – this fall has flown by! I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s continued to support Pauquette Paws. Watching every pup grow, play, and settle into their routines here has been such a joy. 

Updated Hours:

Regular Hours Available for Booking Monday through Friday: 6:30AM-10:00AM (drop-off), 11:00AM-5:00PM (pick-up)

Extended Options:

• Early Drop-Off (5:30AM-6:30AM): +$10

• Extended Late Pick-Up (6PM): +$10

• Extended Evening Pick-Up (7PM): +$15

Please note: There will be no pick-ups between 5-6PM OR 6-7PM.

Any dogs reserved for pick-up at 6PM or 7PM will be crated starting at 5PM, and I’ll return at either 6PM or 7PM – depending on which option you book – for their scheduled pick-up. If owners would like to bring a dinner for their pup, this can be given free of charge in their crate. 

Friday Daycare is Back!
Starting in November, Friday daycare will be making a return!

Fridays will likely look a little different from our usual kennel-free setup – more so like Mondays – it may run as a more crate-and-rotate style depending on how many dogs sign up. This allows me to keep things safe, manageable, and calm while still giving everyone plenty of attention, enrichment, and breaks throughout the day. Fridays will come with a field trip to somewhere in Poynette – although owners may opt out. 

Training will still be available on Fridays, and are now being extended to Mondays as well!

Afternoon nature walks will also continue to be an optional add-on for both Mondays and Fridays for those who might want a little extra exercise or one-on-one time for their pup. These walks will either take place at Pauquette Park/Rowan Creek in Poynette or The MacKenzie Center in Poynette. 

New Agreement & Policy Updates

There’s a new daycare agreement that all owners will need to review and sign by November 1st. Please take a few minutes to read through it carefully – it includes some important updates and clarifications, with a few of the main ones being:

• Dogs who have been absent for 3 or more consecutive weeks will need to complete a re-evaluation day.

• All dogs must be spayed or neutered by 7 months old to continue attending daycare. 

Thanksgiving & Black Friday Daycare

I’ll be open on Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday for anyone who needs care while hosting or traveling. Holiday booking will include an additional holiday rate, and spots will be limited. If care is needed earlier/later than the typical Pauquette Paws open hours, please let me know and I am more than happy to try and accommodate! 

As the Weather Gets Colder

As we move into winter, we’ll be shifting things around a bit to keep everyone cozy and safe. We have a heated indoor space with plenty of room for play, training, and enrichment. 

Depending on each dog’s size, coat, and breed, some may still get short outdoor playtimes, but for the most part, we’ll be spending more time indoors with quick potty breaks outside throughout the day. 

We’ll also continue working on indoor training, confidence building, and enrichment activities to keep everyone tired, happy, and mentally stimulated during the colder months.

Fingers crossed we get another month or two of this beautiful autumn weather!

New 50’s Club Members!

A big round of applause for our first and newest 50s Club Members – Charlie K., Denali L., Mika R., and Willow H.! These pups have officially hit 50+ visits and earned their spot on the Wall of Fame!

November Photos

This month’s themed photos will have a cozy Fall/Thanksgiving feel – think warm colors, leaves, and all the autumn vibes. These photos will take place the week of November 17th. 

Closing Thoughts

As always, thank you so much for trusting me with your dogs and for helping Pauquette Paws continue to grow. I’m so grateful for this little community and every single tail that walks through the door.
