Yes, all owners are required to make an appointment for a meet and greet. A certified staff member will conduct the encrollment interview. All dogs must be friendly and social to humans and other dogs. Aggressive dogs will not be permitted.
Once your pup has passed their meet and greet, owners will be free to make as many reservations through our software, Gingr. All dogs must have an appointment through Gingr prior to coming in for daycare.
You must first fill out our enrollment application prior to bringing your dog in -- this can be found either in our new clients tab, by sending an email requesting a form, or by stopping by in person to pick one up. If the application is approved, we will then need proof of current vaccinations (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, Negative Fecal every 6 months, and flea & tick preventative -- we do NOT accept flea and tick collars). Any daycare agreement/release forms will need to be signed.
All dogs will be tested for signs of aggression towards other dogs and humans during the interview. Your dog will be introduced slowly with other dogs to determine which group he/she will be best fit. The owner part of the interview may take up to 20 minutes. If your dog passes the initial testing, we will continue their screening with a half day of daycare. It may take some dogs a while to feel comfortable at the facility.
Once a dog passes the initial screening process, they are eligible to come to daycare at any time. Please note that if any new behaviors arise (anxiety, excessive mounting, etc) we reserve the right to refuse services at any time.
We will isolate your dog from the pack and call you to pick them up. Be sure to schedule your Meet and Greet on a day you are available to come pick them up if it doesn't work out.
Yes, but only under certain circumstances. If your dog does not pass the initial screening and is a try again, you may book another screening appointment in 90 days. If we have not seen your dog in more that 6 months, we will require a rescreening. This is equivalent to a half day of daycare.
Your dog will need to arrive on a 4-6ft standard leash on either a harness or collar. We do not keep anything on your dog while they are at daycare (this excludes sweaters at owner's request, however if it becomes a safety hazard it may be removed at any time. We are not responsible for any torn sweaters). We do not feed our daycare dogs, but if your dog eats lunch, you must provide their food already portioned in a zip lock bag or container along with name and feeding instructions. We will also administer medications if needed.
Do not bring any toys or bedding to daycare. We do not want to encourage possessive behavior. Your dog will be engaged in various activities and play all day. We have plenty of beds and resting places throughout the facility for your dogs comfort.
Yes, for the most part. After the screening process, we will determine which dogs are compatible with your dog. We separate by temperament as much as possible, however we do have to keep guest safety in mind. We would not put a tiny dog with the large dogs for the safety of the little dog.
For the most part, we accept all breeds. We do NOT accept wolf hybrids.
Puppies (and any other dog in attendance) must have completed all-around vaccines, including rabies, at 14-16 weeks to be eligible for daycare. Puppies can be a tough topic when it comes to daycare, as they don't typically quite know the social cues of other dogs and some other dogs in daycare may not appreciate their energy. We are always open to trying a puppy for a temperament test, however if they do not pass at the time, we do offer evening puppy socials. If they attend puppy social and we notice a shift in their energy and/or their ability to read other dogs' cues, we may offer them a spot in daycare.
