In this project, I will share 2 articles pertaining to information security and will evaluate my sources.
This article shares how with AI, scammers are getting better at duping people. With AI, scammers are generating bespoke scripts, easily translating documents, and producing more convincing fake photos and videos. Scamming is no longer "small crimes"; it has evolved into an industry with teams, technological infrastructure, and global reach. Another point is that some of these scammers are trafficked into these centers; others are willing participants in these scams because, with AI, technology jobs have been cut in half, leaving many young workers desperate for work.

This article explains that Anthropic has developed a highly advanced AI model capable of detecting vulnerabilities across major operating systems, making it very powerful for cybersecurity. But Anthropic is worried that releasing this to the public would be very dangerous, since it could enable a large-scale cyberattack if misused or fell into the wrong hands. Instead, Anthropic works with cybersecurity experts and companies to find vulnerabilities before hackers exploit them.
